Final cut Studio courses

Final Cut Studio was introduced at the National Association of Broadcasters in April 2005. Final Cut Studio is a professional video and audio production suite for Mac OS X from Apple Inc. It contains six main applications and several smaller applications used in editing video. The major applications it includes are:

* Final Cut Pro 7 – “Real-time editing for DV, SD and HD” The Final Cut (Pro and Express) interface has four main windows: the Browser, where source media files are listed; the Viewer, where individual media files can be previewed and trimmed; the Timeline, where media can be cut together into a sequence; and the Canvas, where the edited production in the timeline can be viewed.

* Motion 4 – “Real-time motion graphics design” It is used to create and edit motion graphics, tilting for video and film production, and 2D and 3D compositing for visual effects. Motion is a motion graphics and compositing application similar in some ways to After Effects and Discreet Combustion.

* Soundtrack Pro 3 – “Advanced audio editing and sound design” While Soundtrack Pro is not a tool for burning CD Masters of your songs; it can be used to finalize your songs, much like other audio editors. You can use action-based editing to creatively design new sounds, instantly repair imperfect location recordings, add perfect sound effects or musical Apple Loops, script and batch process common tasks, and save hours bringing audio in and out of your video editor.

* DVD Studio Pro 4 – Encoding, authoring and burning. It is used to string together video and audio tracks, build interactive menus, slideshows, and scripted navigation, and to prepare everything to be burned to a DVD for testing or duplication. Before your audio and video materials can be imported into DVD Studio Pro, they need to be prepared as assets, meaning they have to be converted to formats that are supported by the DVD specification, and consequently, by DVD Studio Pro.

* Color 1.5 – A new color grading application adapted from Silicon Color’s Final Touch. Color is the ultimate finishing tool for music videos, commercials, broadcast post, and feature films.

* Compressor 3.5 – a video encoding tool for outputting projects in different formats. Compressor is mainly used to encode Final Cut Pro projects into the necessary DVD MPEG-2 format. Filters can be applied to video during the conversion process, and the video can be cropped.
